What is DvGnG?
DvGnG (Developers Gang) is a tiny, privacy-focused personal cloud for developers. It gives you a small private space to store files, notes, snippets, pastes, Git repositories and static websites - all in one place, accessible from the CLI.
How does E2E encryption work?
Your data is encrypted on your device before it is uploaded. The server only stores encrypted bytes and never sees the plaintext. This means nobody - including us - can read your data without your keys.
What can I store?
Anything developer-related: source files, notes, code snippets, paste-style text, Git repositories, static site builds, and similar lightweight assets. The free tier includes 50 MB of storage, which is more than enough for most personal developer use.
What is the 50 MB/day I/O limit?
It is the total amount of data you can read or write per day. This includes uploads, downloads, Git pushes and pulls. It is intentionally generous for normal development use, but prevents abuse on a free tier.
Can I use Git repositories?
Yes. You can create private or public Git repositories in your space and push to them using the standard Git CLI. They behave like normal Git remotes.
Is there a CLI?
Yes - the CLI is the primary way to interact with DvGnG. You can log in, push files, create repos, share pastes and deploy static sites, all from your terminal.
Can I export my data?
Always. Your data is yours. You can download everything at any time using the CLI or the API. We never lock you in.
